Hoze Fittings
TRULY TUBULAR introduces HOZETYTE, a new line of Stainless Steel Tube OD Fittings created for low pressure fluid system applications where felixible hose is utilized. An industrial product, it is designed for non-critical applications where a rigid metal connection to Non-Metallic flexible hose is required.
WHY HOZETYTE?
These unique fittings offer the designer of low pressure systems, utilizing flexible hose, a means to provide a rigid connection to a vessel or threaded component. The male end of HOZETYTE Fittings can be welded to feed tanks reservoirs, etc., while the pipe end styles will mate with female ports of pumps, valves, filters and similar devices.
ABOUT HOZETYTE
HOZETYTE Fittings are unique because they are fabricated from thin wall Stainless Steel Tubing. Type 316L grade was chosen as the raw material to provide for maximum corrosion resistance with minimum bulk and weight, as well as high strength. This product offers an alternative to presently avail-able machined fittings.
Fittings are manufactured in eight different sizes with 7 various configurations; 45 degree elbows, 90 degree elbows and straight connectors, from 1/4" to 1-1/2" Tube OD sizes. Tube to pipe styles are available in combination sizes, on special order. These styles are produced as a two-piece welded construction.
Standard fittings, are generally available from distributor/factory stock, in reasonable quantities.
PRESSURE LIMITATIONS
Designed as a low pressure connector, HOZETYTE is not recommended for high pressure applications above 500 PSI. This product is designed for use with plastic, rubber and similar non-metallic hose. The connection created by the HOZETYTE Fitting, hose and clamp combinations, is only as sound as the components selected. Testing and/or evaluation should be conducted if there is any doubt about the suitability of the configuration for marginal applications.
DESIGN FEATURES
Standard hose ends are produced to SAE AS5131, FIG2, STYLE B SPECS. The flexible non-metallic hose chosen may be secured to the HOZETYTE Fitting utilizing any standard hose clamp suited to the intended use. The standard bend radii for HOZETYTE Fittings are 1-1/2 times the tube outside diameter As an example, if the tube OD is l/2", the centerline radius would be 3/4". Pipe end style fittings incorporate standard NPTF screw threads and hex dimensions in accordance with Federal Services Hand Book H28.
